Delete your Oseya account
Draft of 9 October 2026
Oseya is an app that helps couples repair after a fight. This page explains how to delete your Oseya account and your data, what is removed, and what may be kept.
The fastest way: in the app
- Open Oseya and go to Settings.
- Under "Your data", tap "Delete account".
- Confirm by tapping "Delete".
Your account is deleted right away and you are signed out. This can't be undone. If you want a copy first, use "Export my data" in the same place before you delete.
If you no longer have the app
Email us and ask us to delete your Oseya account. You don't need to reinstall the app. If you signed in with an email address or with Google, write from that address so we can find your account. We usually reply within a few working days.
Email: support@trataklabs.com
If you used Oseya without signing in, your account has no email address or phone number. Email us anyway and we will tell you what we need to find it.
Please don't include private details about your relationship in an email. We never need them to help you.
What is deleted
Deleting your account removes these from our database:
- Your account and sign-in details, including your email address if you gave one, and your sign-in sessions.
- Your profile: first name, country, language, time zone and settings.
- Your private writing (your vents) and your answers to clarifying questions.
- Your bridge messages, both drafts and the ones you approved.
- Your session ratings and comments.
- Your daily check-ins.
- Your answers to the daily question.
- Safety check records linked to your account.
- Your push notification tokens and usage counters.
What happens with your partner
- You are unpaired right away, and your partner's app no longer shows you as their partner.
- Open repair sessions between you are closed, active agreements are marked as dropped, and unused invite links stop working.
- The message you approved for your partner is deleted with the rest of your messages.
- The daily question answers of both of you are deleted.
- Your partner keeps their own account, their own private writing and their own messages. Deleting your account does not delete theirs.
What may be kept
- Shared items: the talk plan, the suggested agreements and the agreements the two of you made were created for both of you. They are not deleted with your account. They stay stored with the ended couple space.
- Backups: we plan encrypted backups of the database. Your data can remain in a backup for a limited time after you delete your account, until that backup is deleted.
- Sign-in codes: if you signed in with an email code, the record of codes sent to that email address is stored separately from your account and is not removed when the account is deleted. Ask us by email if you want it removed.
- Subscription records: we keep a log of subscription events from the App Store or Google Play. It holds an account id and the event type, not your name or anything you wrote.
- AI processing: text you submitted was sent to our AI processor to produce your results. Deleting your account does not reach copies they may hold for a time. See the Privacy Policy.
Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription. Subscriptions are managed in your App Store or Google Play account settings.
If you joined from a link without installing the app
- We created an anonymous account for you, with no email address or phone number. It holds your first name, your country and what you wrote.
- The web pages have no delete button yet.
- Your private writing is deleted automatically after 30 days by default.
- If your partner unpairs or deletes their account, the session between you is closed, but your own anonymous account is not deleted by that.
- To have your anonymous account deleted, email us at the address above. Because the account has no email address, we will ask for details that help us find it, such as the invite link you used.
